Frequently asked questions
Why does this not run in the browser?+
Office formats need a full layout program. It runs on our servers in the EU – the same converter Signovoza uses.
What does it cost?+
Twenty conversions a month are free, a hundred with an account. Beyond that, one operation per file from your credits. A failed conversion costs nothing.
How long does the file stay on the server?+
At most 60 minutes. At once with “Delete now” on the result. We only keep the tool, page count, file size and duration – never the content.
Are fonts preserved?+
Embedded fonts, yes. Fonts that are not installed are replaced by similar ones; check documents with special fonts after converting.
Which formats work?+
Word (DOCX, DOC), PowerPoint (PPTX, PPT), OpenDocument text (ODT), RTF, TXT, HTML and photos as JPG, PNG, WEBP and HEIC. Other formats are recognised before uploading and not sent.
Do I need an account?+
No. Converting works without signing in. A free account gives you a larger monthly allowance; the exact numbers are on the pricing page.
Can I share the PDF as a link?+
Yes, with an account. For the link, a copy stays on our server for 24 hours and is then deleted, separately from the 60 minutes of the conversion.

What “Convert to PDF” does
A quote in Word, a presentation for a client, minutes from LibreOffice: what you send is best a PDF that looks the same everywhere. Drop up to ten files and each comes back as its own PDF – or all of them as one document in the order you chose.
Safely on the server
Unlike our browser tools, converting Office files needs a server. Your files are processed in the EU and deleted after 60 minutes at the latest. “Delete now” on the result removes them at once. HTML files are rendered without network access: references to other addresses are not loaded.
Photos and images
Photos are placed on A4 pages, portrait or landscape like the picture, keeping the camera's orientation. For many photos with more settings there is “Images to PDF”, which runs entirely in your browser.
