Frequently asked questions
Does my file leave my computer?+
PDFs and images do not: they are merged in your browser. Only Word and other office files are sent to our EU servers for conversion and deleted there after 60 minutes at the latest, at once after merging.
Is there a limit?+
Not in the browser. The limit is your device's memory. When it gets tight, we offer to merge the files on our servers.
Can I mix Word and PDF?+
Yes. Word files are converted to PDF first (one operation per file, 20 a month free) and inserted in their place. The file says so before anything is sent.
What happens to form fields?+
Filled-in values stay visible. To keep them safely, choose “Make form fields part of the page”. Bookmarks are not carried over.
Are page sizes and rotation kept?+
Yes. Each page keeps its format and orientation, even when the documents differ.
What does merging cost?+
Merging PDFs and images is free and needs no account. Only each Word or other office file counts as one operation from your free monthly allowance, because it is converted on our server first.
Does it work on a phone?+
Yes. Choose files, or photograph a paper page straight into the list with “Scan a page”. Change the order with “Move up” and “Move down”.
