Frequently asked questions
Is anything uploaded?+
PDFs and images are not: they are combined into one file in your browser and never leave your device. Only Word and other office files go briefly to our EU servers for conversion and are deleted there after 60 minutes at the latest.
How many files can I combine?+
We set no fixed number in the browser. The limit is your device's memory; if it gets tight, we tell you before anything goes wrong.
Do the pages stay as they are?+
Yes. Pages are carried over, not re-rendered: text stays searchable, images keep their quality, and every page keeps its size and rotation.
What does combining cost?+
Nothing. Tools that run in your browser are always free and need no account.
What if a file has a password?+
We say so on the file. Remove the password first with “Unlock PDF”, if you know it, then combine the files.

Two files become one

You decide the order
After adding them, you see every file with its name and page count in a list. Drag each one into place, or use “Move up” and “Move down” if you prefer the keyboard. With “Blank page between documents”, the individual documents stay clearly separated when someone scrolls through or prints them.
Not only PDFs
Photos and Word files can go into the same file. Photos are added in your browser; Word files are converted to PDF on our EU servers first. That costs one operation per file from your free monthly allowance, and the file says so before anything is sent.
