Do I have to install an app?+
No. Scanning runs in your phone's browser, in Safari on an iPhone as well as in Chrome on Android. You do not need an account either.
Are the photos uploaded?+
No. The photos are straightened and put together as a PDF on your phone. They never leave the device.
What happens when I tap “Open camera”?+
Your phone's camera starts; after taking the shot you come back here with the photo and take the next page. To use photos you already have, pick them from your gallery instead.
How do I get the best scan?+
Put the sheet on a darker surface, use even light and keep the whole page in the picture. The “Black & white” mode evens out most shadows.
How do I get the PDF off my phone?+
Download it and share it like any other file, by email or messaging app. With an account you can also share it as a link; the copy for that is deleted after 24 hours.
What does it cost?+
Nothing. Scanning runs in your browser and is always free.

As readable as a scanner
In “Black & white” mode, shadows and uneven light are evened out and text becomes crisp. “Grayscale” keeps pictures and pencil, “Colour” keeps stamps and coloured highlights. You choose the mode for each page.
