Frequently asked questions
Is the rotation saved?+
Yes. Unlike the rotate button in many PDF viewers, exporting changes the file itself. The pages then show the right way up for everyone who opens it.
Can I rotate just one page?+
Yes. Select only that page. To rotate several pages together, select them all first.
Does the quality suffer?+
No. The page is not re-rendered; only its orientation changes. Text stays searchable and images stay sharp.
Is my file uploaded?+
No. Rotating runs in your browser. Your progress stays in this browser only and is removed after 7 days.
Does it work on a phone?+
Yes. Tap the pages and use the rotate buttons in the bar. The preview shows at once which way the page faces.
What does it cost?+
Nothing. Tools that run in your browser are always free and need no account.

Why pages end up the wrong way
A sheet went into the scanner the wrong way round, a landscape table sits between portrait pages, a phone photo of a form was taken sideways. On screen everyone has to tilt their head, and when printed the page comes out sideways. With “Rotate PDF” you fix it once and for good.
One page or all at once
Every page appears as a thumbnail. Select one page, several or all of them and rotate by 90 degrees with “Rotate left” or “Rotate right”; twice for 180 degrees. Every rotation can be undone until you export.
Tidy up while you are at it
Rotating is part of “Organize pages”. While you are there, you can delete pages you do not need, change the order or insert a missing page from another file. Changed pages are marked so you can see what is different before exporting.
In your browser, no upload
The file is opened and rotated in your browser; it never leaves your device. Large scans with many pages work too, because there is no upload to wait for.
